Praemia REIM/P. Matsas
Laurent Fléchet, Chairman and CEO, Praemia REIM
French group Primonial REIM has rebranded to Praemia REIM after selling Primonial Ingénierie et Distribution (PID) to the Crystal Group at the end of June. This rebranding is the culmination of a strategic reorganisation started in 2020 to clearly define Primonial Group's core activities: asset management, distribution, and real estate.
Laurent Fléchet, Chairman and CEO of Praemia REIM, stated, "The sale of Primonial Ingénierie et Distribution to Crystal Group marks the final step of our strategic reorganisation plan. The new name 'Praemia' embodies an important step in our development while ensuring continuity for our customers."
Praemia REIM will continue as an independent property asset and investment manager, focusing on real estate with over €38 billion in assets under management. The rebranding unifies the company’s international branches under the Praemia REIM name.
Praemia REIM’s Pan-European Platform:
- Over €38 billion in assets under management.
- More than 60% of assets in alternative property classes like healthcare, education, hotels, and residential.
- 550 employees with expertise across the property value chain.
- Strong presence in France, Germany, and Italy, with offices in Spain, Luxembourg, the UK, and Singapore.
- Over 1,600 properties in 10 countries, serving more than 96,000 private and institutional investors.
Future Plans and Distribution:
Praemia REIM plans to expand its fund offerings to meet evolving investor expectations and accelerate its internationalisation. In France, the company will maintain its property investment product distribution through existing channels, collaborating with major partners and using internal teams for a localised approach. Fundraising for institutional clients will be handled directly by Praemia REIM’s development teams.
Despite the name change, the ownership structure remains unchanged, with Latour Capital, Bridgepoint, Sogecap, and company employees retaining ownership.
This rebranding follows previous capital transactions, including the sale of La Financière de l'Échiquier (LFDE) to La Banque Postale in July 2023 and the recent sale of PID. On 28 June, Laurent Fléchet also became chairman of New Praemia Holding 2 (NPH2), which owns Praemia REIM and Union Générale des Placements (UGP).
Praemia REIM said it remains committed to leveraging its European expertise to design and manage property funds for both national and international clients, ensuring continued growth and stability in the real estate sector.
